FAQs

Do you ship/deliver?

We do not currently offer delivery or air shipping.

We are happy to work with you to arrange ground transport through a reputable shipper. Buyer would be responsible for all costs.

Do you recommend males or females?

We don't believe one gender makes a better pet than the other. Each comes with their own unique set of quirks.

Females can spray urine when upset and can be prone to moodiness when in season.

Males can often be seen vigorously cleaning their genitals.

It is up to you which you prefer to deal with.

Do you have a waiting list?

No, we do not operate via a wait list. If you are looking for something specific please let us know and if we don't have it available currently we may be able to connect you with someone who does.

Do you recommend buying two?

We do not force our customers to purchase two chinchillas. If they are home often and can provide adequate interaction, a single animal can be perfectly happy. If you live a busier lifestyle, you may wish to consider a companion.

Will you sell me a male and a female?

We will not sell opposite-sex pairs to pet homes.

Even if you plan to keep them separated, it is too easy for an accident to happen and for babies to be produced. If you are interested in getting into breeding, let us know! We are happy to help aspiring breeders start out on the right foot.

Do they come with pedigrees?

We do not provide pedigrees with pet animals.

Can I come visit and meet the animals you have for sale?

We operate a closed ranch, meaning we do not allow outside visitors.

Buyers coming to our location must already have a chinchilla on hold. Pickup is done with minimal contact - we take your carrier while you wait in your vehicle, and we then bring the animal out to you.

We are not a pet store or retail location and do not allow unscheduled pickups.
